Dan Gillis was born and raised in and around Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He inspires as a certified teacher in the humanities. His own creative pursuits are fueled by the students he teaches. He has written for many years, with his most serious work beginning during his time in university. His first book, Sapling, marks the beginning of an exciting literary journey.In addition to his writing, Dan has creative pursuits in music, drama/theater, painting/sketching and many others. He enjoys creating artwork for his projects including his novels.
