Dan Neuman's love of literature began at an early age with parents who encouraged him to learn to read well before he began school. By Grade 2 he had written his first short story about a square bear named Square Bear and by Grade 4 he was writing a serialized adventure tale about a super chicken named Super Chicken.Growing up and improving on his character names slightly he read and traveled broadly, gaining a depth of experience from which to draw ideas and details for future stories.Realizing he was about to turn 30 he decided he should get on with it and began a serious run at being a writer. Less than a year later his first independently published short story appeared in the Ink Slinger's Guild anthology Beyond the Threshold. He currently lives in Vancouver, Canada with his lovely and surprisingly supportive wife.
