I am a retired civil servant... a description which covers a multitude of sins. With no marketable skills, not smart enough to steal and too ugly to work in Radio, the only thing left open to me was writing.When I wrote 'NADA I recalled a lot of stories about buried treasure and the difficulty of getting it out. It seems in most of them the hero hooks up with a shifty partner who is useful but unreliable, and generally betrays him, bringing things to an end.I wondered what the story might sound like if it were told by the shifty patner, and 'NADA is the result.
