This is one of those books I think everyone should read. Daniel Pink explains that instead of a "how to" book, he sees this as a "when to" book. We all have daily cycles, with a peak and a trough. For most of us, the trough is in the afternoon--typically around 2:00-3:00 (though that varies by in...

A well written, short, occasionally funny, and always inspiring and motivating (imagine that) book that talks about the science behind human motivation. Most businesses are still run the way they were in the 19th century, with carrots and sticks, oblivious to the fact that the nature of work has cha...

Got a little repetitive but some thought provoking ideas on what motivates us to act how we do. Might have got a higher rating had I paid more attention to the fact it's primarily about business, but there were still lessons to be learnt for those of us who don't work in traditional businesses.

Most of us have seen Dan Pink’s TED talk on motivation. If you haven’t, go watch it via YouTube. The second is any people manager / leader. So I'm reviewing this book a couple of years after reading it, and having had time to integrat...

I can't do it. I read half of it and I just can't bring myself to finish it. Drive started off strong with descriptions of what gets people motivated to work in a meaningful way. I took notes, got some good ideas and was impressed that Pink, who is a Business Book Author was seemingly digging up som...

Interesting book on how we are moving from a period where left-brainers (engineers, scientists) dominated to a time where people who are strong in both right and left brain skills, and especially the merging of the two sides, will be in more demand. It's such an interesting concept and raises a dil...

I gave it 3 stars on Amazon, but here I'm giving it only 2 because of the difference of meaning I give to the stars on GR. The fact is, I did not like it much. It was ok, for anyone who doesn't already know about 90% of what Pink says in this book (either by academic process or common-sense).For me,...

Another amazing book - as paradigm altering for me as Stumbling on Happiness.
