They were masters of the darkness, searching through eternity for a mistress of the light . . . The stranger silently summoned her from across the continents, across the seas, whispering of eternal torment, of endless hunger . . . of dark, dangerous desires. And somehow American surgeon Shea O'Halloran could feel his anguish, sense his haunting aloneness. Drawn to the far Carpathian Mountains, Shea found a ravaged, raging man, a being like no other. And she trembled. For in his burning eyes she recognized the beloved stranger who'd already become part of her. But was she to be his healer . . . or his prey?

Surprisingly i loved this book. I wasn't a huge fan of the first book. I thought it was too long and just a little too... I don't know the right word.. just too much I guess. I don't know. I kinda love that Jacque is crazy and that Shea is the only one that can calm him. I love the whole life ma...
One of my top Authors. Awesome series. Always wanting more.
Just like the first book. I started reading and fell into the book. Jacques was delicious. I can't help my love of the tortured ones. Shea proved worthy. Strong independent loyal. Over all. Fantastic
Jacques was kidnapped and tortured, left for dead seven years ago. Shea is the only one who can hear and feel him, and travels from her home in the US to Europe and the Carpathian mountains, unable to resist the urge to reach him. A bit dark but a great read.
