Really pretty writing style, but I thought Amiel was completely exoticized and the romance didn't work. Other relationships in the novel are much more interesting, and I kind of wish the book focused on them and lost the whole "forbidden" romance thing, but then I guess you couldn't have the complet...
I'm excited to read this. I remember the day this fire started-sitting outside my job on my break watching the "snowflakes" of ash coming out of the sky.
