Darkness Falls was so much better than Immortal Beloved and I very much liked the first book.

Rating: 3.5 StarsAs a sequel, Darkness Falls is definitely a much stronger book than Immortal Beloved. For one, it delves even deeper into Nastasya and her psyche, particularly her fears of working her magic. I am really rather surprised by how much I enjoyed Darkness Falls. The first book in the series, Immortal Beloved, was... OK. The overarching plot of the book was a bit of a washout, but I remembered rather enjoying the main character, Nas, who was a tough cookie who had finally managed to check her...

Immortal males should not be allowed to look like Viking gods. There should be a law against it - because you WANT to read the book for the strong heroine, the fight for good against evil, the heartbreak, the sorrow, the gory scenes...not scanning the pages for the words 'Reyn' or 'Viking god', whic...
