He worked for over 25 years as a Physics teacher in the UK, before realising a dream and starting his own business. He currently owns and runs Hogan's, a sandwich shop in Blackpool (an obvious connection?). Darla has always been passionate about reading and enjoys many genres, including short stories and science fiction. In 2011, Darla began working on a novel, titled 'Perfect Genesis', this will be published at a future date.Over the past three years, Darla has written several short stories and novellas and some of this work is now self-published or published through Kensington Gore Publishing.The self-published work can be found under the title of Deathly Musings and is a collection of one novella and several shorts. This collection includes a few works from guest authors.The first book published with Kensington Gore is 'Demise & Other Macabre Demises? This collection of shorts contains a variety of stories that generally start with ordinary characters going about their normal business until strange events turn ordinary on its head.The second book contains six novellas which are linked by subtle connections but are totally different storied in their own right. Many pre-readers have described these stories as being the best and most disturbing horror they've ever read, hence this book is called '6 Doorways to Disturbance' and it is very disturbing.Currently, Darla is working on future novels.
