A long time fan of Jones' writing, I was excited to hear about this new series after her Charlie Davidson series came to an end, but also hesitant, as the premise for this new series sounded like quite a departure in a lot of ways. I needn't have worried; A Bad Day for Sunshine has everything I lo...

This is so much like the Charlie series. I enjoyed the snark and humor, but kept flashing back to previous books, the similarities are overwhelming. This is a fun read, but expected something more. Can not decide whether to go on to the next book.

Somehow, she handily...

I like snark and sarcasm, I really do - or I thought I did until I had so much of it thrown at me that it started to get on my nerves. So, I suppose I should say that I appreciate some well-timed snark and sarcasm. What I found here is not that. When I first started reading, I was struck by the simi...

Book source ~ NetGalley Sunshine Vicram is back where she grew up. Coming home again is not all sweet apple pie though. Sunshine has somehow been elected Sheriff of Del Sol, New Mexico. While she has no idea how that happened in her absence, she strongly suspect her parents are behind it. In any c...

I have seen Darynda Jones name bandied about for a long time now, so I am glad to finally pick up one of her books and have an introduction into her world with A Bad Day for Sunshine.
