David Woodbury has been working in the publishing industry for 25 years, first with Savas Woodbury Publishers (now Savas Beatie), then Stanford University Press, and most recently with Cengage Learning in San Francisco. He was a principal contributor to and cartographer for the "Library of Congress Civil War Desk Reference," and has administered the CompuServe Civil War Forum since its inception over 20 years ago (http://forums.compuserve.com/discussions/Civil_War/ws-civilwar). Since 2005, he has written a Civil War-oriented blog, "Of Battlefields and Bibliophiles," at obab.blogspot.com.
