David Douglas has written for Protestant and Catholic publications and is the author of "Wilderness Sojourn: Notes in the Desert Silence" and co-author with his wife, Deborah, of "Pilgrims in the Kingdom: Travels in Christian Britain." He works with non-profit organizations that improve access to clean drinking water internationally and that advocate for increased U.S. foreign aid for health and development. He lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
