David Meyers is a lifelong resident of Columbus, Ohio. A graduate of Miami University and The Ohio State University, he worked for thirty years in adult and juvenile corrections. As a local historian, he got his start with the late Robert D. "Bob" Thomas, assisting with the three volume "Columbus Unforgettables" series. He also contributed to "Listen for the Jazz," published by the Arts Foundation of Olde Towne. Since then, he has written a number of books on local history, as well as works for the stage, including the musicals "The Last Christmas Carol" and "The Last Oz Story." In 2012, David appeared on an episode of the Discovery Canada series "Curious and Unusual Deaths," to discuss the death of Ohio Penitentiary inmate Charles Justice. A novelization of "The Last Christmas Carol" was published with illustrations by Sam Walker. A second novel, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow Condominium Association, Inc." features illustrations by Jason Pauff.David continues to publish one or two books a year on a wide range of topics.
