He has written extensively about the Amish and their place in the American cultural imagination. A highly sought-after speaker on Anabaptist and Amish life, Weaver-Zercher's observations have appeared in a wide range of media including USA Today, Huffington Post, the Washington Post, BBC, ABC News, and the Philadelphia Inquirer. He is currently writing a book about Martyrs Mirror, a seventeenth-century martyrology that continues to be used by Amish and Mennonite communities.
