While her roots are firmly planted in rural Rochester, Washington, Dawn Scovill lives in South Florida with her husband, two children, two cats, and a chocolate lab named Rockford P. Influenced by Stephen King, Anne Rice, and Erma Bombeck - among others - she drinks and smokes too much and, while defying genre stereotypes, hopes to one day sell more books than Paris Hilton and her dog.Her first novel, IMMORTAL BONDS (paranormal suspense, 2007/2013), was re-released in paperback and e-book by BeanPods Press in March and is a perfect fit for readers who like their vampires to come in shades of grey; her second novel, CHASING KID ROCK (or CKR, literary/commercial fiction, 2011), though designed for "men who don't read," is a hit with Kid Rock and NASCAR fans and would be classified as Redneck Fiction if the genre existed; her third - a prequel to the first - is historical fiction, set in Malta, circa 1565, and is in the manuscript stages (expecting a release date in 2015).
