Now it's the turn of the weres and shifters to follow the lead of the undead and reveal their existence to the ordinary world. Sookie Stackhouse already knows about them, of course - her brother turns into a panther at the full moon, she's friend to the local Were pack and Sam, her boss at Merlotte's bar, is a shifter. This book was one big fat yawn. I could care less about the fairies. They bore me to tears. I read this series for two things: Sookie, and the vampires. And the only saving grace with this book was Eric. And the fact that I ended up liking one of the characters I hadn't previously liked when he near...
As far as the series goes, this one feels like filler. It is a fun read but the characters do not seem to grow or change in any way nor are there any new revelations about the supernatural world Harris has created. It is simply another day in the oh-so-crazy life of Sookie Stackhouse.
