I REALLY liked this book. I REALLY have to read the first two. I feel like I was tossed into a soap opera mid season mid episode completely absorbed but completely lost at the same time but too engrossed in the story to stop watching.

This third story in the series takes up where the last book ended. If you haven't read the first two, the author does try to go back and fill in some gaps for you so you won't feel completely lost and out of the loop. I didn't like this story as much as the other two I have read. I felt that the ...

My least favorite so far - but I still really liked it. I think what put me off that half star was the funeral home center of the plot. Funeral Homes just aren't even a little bit interesting to me. This is the third book in the Deadwood series by Ann Charles. We dive in once again, only 2 or 3 days after the ending of the last book. I love this series. Cannot wait to see where Ann Charles takes Violet, Doc and the rest of the crew next! The albino dude scared the bejebus out of me! Also, we didn't find out anything in regards to the headless corpse and what he has to do with Violet's sperm donor!

As good as the first two, definitely will be continuing the series. I'm also glad something I wanted out in the open is now...even if I didn't like the way it was done. Curious to see where the author takes the characters next!

This is definitely my favorite of the series. I have to say that old man Harvey just cracks me up. He is the perfect sidekick for Violet. Cornelius was a great addition to the characters Violet deals with and I sure hope we get to see him again.
Kriss Morton - In the Loft of the Cabin Goddess
Ann Charles has the "touch" when it comes to delivering the perfect blend of snarky realistic humor and fun. I fell in love with Violet and her twin 10 year-olds Layne and Addie with the first book in the series (well Addy and Layne if Addie has anything to say since she is 10 minutes older than Lay...
