I know a lot of people are upset about how Sookie's love life finally went. I admit that I also wanted it to go differently, but I predicted it earlier in the series so I had already accepted it by now. I had actually read all the rest quickly and taken a long break before this one so I probably e...

Title: Dead Ever After Author: Charlaine Harris ISBN: 978-1-937-00788-1 Pages: 338 Date Started: February 3, 2015 Date Finished: February 9, 2015 Even though this book wasn't the best ever written (I didn't exactly expect it to be that either) it was a good ending to the whole Sookie Stackhouse st...

Audiobook and I own the hardback. 3-1/2 stars. This was a pretty depressing book. At first it seems like everyone has turned their back on Sookie. But then she finds out she really has a lot of people that care for her and [ even though she and Eric aren't together, he helps her out. Later we find o...

Well, I'd like to say that this story went out with a bang in a good way. It was more like a jumping of the shark for me. Well, actually that may have happened a few books ago. I do like Ms. Harris and I admire her franchise. It's well loved enough that it earned her a TV series which is AWESOME...

I'm not as floored by this ending as I think I should be. Charlaine Harris has been most adamant about warning readers that Sookie would not ever turn into a vampire. Plus, she is constantly trying to distance herself from their world, even though she inevitably got pulled back into their problems i...

On the cover it announces, "The Final Sookie Stackhouse novel." If you don't know Sookie, well, when we first meet her in Dead After Dark she's a young waitress at Merlotte's Bar in the small Louisiana town of Bon Temps, coping with what she sees as a disability: she can read minds. This has kept he...

I enjoyed this series as a whole and was not disappointed with the way it ended. While we each envision our own endings it is important to respect the author. After all it was her story to tell.

2.5 stars. I finally got around to this on an extremely lazy weekend. I'm all for happily ever afters. They're awesome. But in a supernatural sex-charged series? It just feels a little weird. The one thing I love about these is I can kill them in a day when I'm not working. They're very easy to rea...

I'm giving it three stars for the ending, who turned out to be far better than my expectations. Overall, I feel having thirteen books on a two years timeline is what made this series ridiculous and it's a shame, the first six books were fun.
