I've been told this is a frustrating book by friends. I can understand the frustration because there is very little we are given to understand. We are fumbling our way through the story. It feels as though large gaps are in the story. I'd say that the world building was sloppily done in some way...
Wow! This started off as Anne Rice on meth with intense torture and mindfucks and tilted as the tables turned to a hunter/huntress themed novel. Leaves you happy, but with a new episode primed in the last page. Violent, beyond the norm, dark, and riveting--I'm ready for book 2.
Hard to say "really liked it" when it so disturbed me on a variety of levels. But the fact that it got to me means it was so well written. Great book but be warned that it is dark. If you can make it through the first twenty pages, you'll be fine.Full review at www.theromancereviews.com/rpoma72.
