I understand what other people like about this novel. It just wasn't my taste.I really liked Myron Bolitar. He's hilarious. In fact, many of the colourful characters were likeable. But for whatever reason, I couldn't get sucked in. I tried. This novel was recommended to me on two separate occasions,...

I enjoyed this first Myron Bolitar mystery. Bolitar is the kind of competent, smart-mouthed character that I like as the hero of a mystery. It was fun, but I'm not dying to buy it or read the next one. Perhaps I'll keep an eye out for it at the library book sale.

Interesting book. The idea of having the detective be a sports agent was something I hadn't encountered before. However, the whole thing of Bolitar's gay ninja business partner seemed a bit silly. The ending was okay, and reminded me a little bit of the solution to "The Mysterious Affair at Styles" ...

I love Myron & Win (that little psycho). Coben's books always have a solid mystery, snappy dialogue and some crazy martial arts violence, usually courtesy of Win. Sometimes I laugh and cringe in the same scene but they're always entertaining and this one is no exception.

Myron Bolitar is new at being a sports agent but had the good fortune to sign the number one NFL quarterback draft choice, Christian Steele. Christian's been drafted by the Titans whose owner, Otto Burke, is playing underhanded during the contract negotiations. Nude pictures of Christian's missing g...
