I was born in Dallas, Texas, and have lived in the Dallas area all my life. The first book in my medieval series, "In Honor Bound," was published in 1997, followed by the sequels "By Love Redeemed" and "To Grace Surrendered." I have also written four books in the Annie's Attic cozy mystery series, "Letters in the Attic," "The Key in the Attic," "The Diary in the Attic" and "The Legacy in the Attic." The first book in my Drew Farthering Mysteries set in 1930s England, "Rules of Murder," is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2013 from Bethany House with "Death by the Book" and at least one more sequel to follow. Those books will appear under the name Julianna Deering. I am so thankful for the life God has given me and want more than anything to use it to please Him.

But other guests are more pleasant, particularly Miss Madeline Parker, his stepfather’s attractive Ameri...

The author is obviously a fan of Dorothy Sayers as the protagonist is modeled after Lord Peter Wimsey. But a number of problems arise early on in this whodunit. First we are introduced to so many people in the first chapter it’s hard to keep track of the players without a scorecard. You can tell who...
