Just as reliably enjoyable and occasionally funny as the M. C. Beaton's Agatha Raisin books I've read so far. Definitely a series I'll be dipping into some more whenever I have a free evening and don't feel like starting something heftier.
Fun, well written mystery that made me want to read more of the series. The plot is fairly straight forward but it gets off to a slow start and there's a bit too much fishing for my taste. The characters, however, make it worth the slow start. Hamish Macbeth 's dry humorous and quirks are just right...
