Deborah Carr is a professor of sociology at Boston University, and previously held faculty positions at Rutgers University, University of Michigan, and University of Wisconsin. She received her PhD in sociology at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Carr is editor-in-chief of Journal of Gerontology: Social Sciences. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, NBC Nightly News, Newsweek, and other national media. She lives in Providence, RI.
