Deborah Greenspan was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in Massapequa, Long Island. At the age of sixteen, she had an epiphany, which set her on a course of study, both formal and informal, that covered everything from science to metaphysics to theatre. She is the mother of two, both of whom were born when Deborah was in her late thirties. While tending her babies, she took up pastels. While in her forties, she went back to college, finishing up her BA and getting a Masters in Communication as well. Over the years, she has worked full time as a publisher and written several books, among them Spirals: the Connection, The Healer, and Kids' Day.
