Kazuko Enda and I have translated "Little Keys and the Red Piano" by Hideko Ogawa. (minamimuki.com/fun-and-free) It is a middle grade novel about life in Tokyo for a stray cat from the countryside. Now available on Kindle.Located in Japan, I have a stereotypical love of Mt. Fuji, and my specialty is Japanese to English translations--not all of which are included here due to amazon.com limitations. A recent publication I was proud to be a part of was "Tomo:Friendship Through Fiction:An Anthology of Japan Teen Stories," published on the first anniversary of the devastating earthquake and tsunami. Colleague Kazuko Enda and I have recently written a book in Japanese about using Amazon, Kindle and other online sources as a way to improve English skills, we also have a blog on ereading, One Chapter Reading Club (http:www.minamimuki.com/fun-and-free). I am also involved with Kid's Photo Journal (http://www.kidsphotojournal.org), a project for children in the quake zone to keep a record of and comment on their lives pre- and post- earthquake, making them an active part of the ongoing recovery in the region.
