Well, that certainly was a deception. Someone recommended me this book, saying how good and thrilling it was. Every time she tries to convince me to read a certain book now, I'm instantaneously suspicious. Because I really didn't like this one. It was very boring, for a start, and then -BIG sur...

Dan Brown may be immensely popular, but his skills as a writer are deplorable. At least in Angels and Demons and The Davinci Code, he was able to write thrillers with lots of action that were page turners. Deception Point is nothing like that. This book is definitely the perfect type of story to listen to an audio that will keep you glued for hours to your earbuds. I listened to this with my son driving back and forth to school and I must say that it really eased that daily commute! Great action, unbelievable James Bond like stunts and ...

I did actually quite enjoy the story, but why on earth does Dan Brown feel compelled to work every piece of research he's done into the finished novel? (and wtf is an "anticyclonic vorticity spiral"?)
