AudiobookIt's been a long while since I read an Odd Thomas book and after listening to this audiobook I remember why - they're so horrible! I hate seeing so much depravity and this one with the main victims was extra depraved. I have the 7th book loaded onto my MP3 but I think I'm going remove it an...
I have been reading the Odd Thomas series for about a decade now. For anyone that is contemplating reading this novel, you need to start with Odd Thomas: An Odd Thomas Novel, Forever Odd: An Odd Thomas Novel, Brother Odd: An Odd Thomas Novel, Odd Hours: An Odd Thomas Novel, and Odd Apocalypse: An Od...
Although I enjoyed this latest instalment in the Odd Thomas series, I couldn't help thinking there was an awful lot of 'filler' used between sequences. Part of the charm of these books is Odd's tendency to ruminate (often with humour) on the horrors that he faces but in this instance I found myself ...
Deeply Odd is a hard book to review. For the first time in this series, you must have read all previous volumes of Odd's adventures to receive the grand picture. Throughout Deeply Odd, our fry-cook-turned-reluctant-hero hearkens back to every other novel (aside from Forever Odd, of course, as I beli...
Found myself laughing a lot with this book. The conversations between Odd and Edie are so funny. I did find the lack of answers for Odd from the people around him to be disconcerting and off putting, but altogether a fun "scarey" book. :D

I'm glad that I've finally gotten around to this new installment of Mr. Thomas. I find it insanely funny that it's only been 19 months of storytime since the first novel, but even more amused by how much has happened to our modest hero. The best part of the novels is our narrator. After reading the f...
Once again Odd Thomas becomes involved with a cast of equally odd characters. On a routine trip to the mall to purchase some personal item, Odd’s psychic magnetism starts to tingle and he has a vision of dying children. Immediately following this vision he encounters the cowboy trucker – not a che...
I am a huge fan of the Odd Thomas series and I enjoyed travelling with Oddie again, but this installment was heavy on the politics and very light on the story. There were a couple of chapters where very little happened and the action/story seemed a mere backdrop for the cultural and political criti...
