I'd forgotten big chunks of this book, and some of the characters who weren't really part of the story until this one, so this was a really fun book to revisit. These books are getting progressively less mysterious and interesting, while the sexual content is increasing. I don't think I like this trend, but I can't stop reading the next book anyway.

And that character and her voice is the main selling point in this series, and why I keep reading. That, and the loopy supernatural world Harris creates of vampires, shapeshifters, weres and fa...

His own hand was warm and hard. He could crack my bones with it.The average woman would not be pondering how fast her date could kill her. The kind of thing I was scared of wasn't going to be intimidated by a light. I'd just be able to see it better before it ate me. "This woman has been mine, a...

This is quickly becoming my favourite vampire series. It has heart, and is not overcomplicated in its number of characters, nor is it oversexed or over the top.
