In 2005, the BTK Killer, who had eluded police for more than 20 years, sent a floppy disk to the offices of a Fox TV affiliate. The disk contained the latest in a long line of messages that the BTK delighted in sending to police, delighting in their inability to identify and arrest him. However, on this occasion the killer had made a huge mistake; unbeknownst to the killer, the disk contained metadata which identified it as having been used by 'Dennis' on a computer at the 'Christ Lutheran Church'.

Police were soon able to identify 'Dennis' and the computer, and after comparing DNA from Dennis Rader's daughter to evidence found at the BTK's crime scenes, they knew that the long wait to unmask the BTK Killer was over. Dennis Rader was their man.

This is the story of a 20-year reign of terror of one of America's most feared serial killers, a killer who was eventually revealed to be Dennis Rader, a middle-aged, Church-going Scout leader.
