This is a novella addition to the Turner Series. I did not know this story was part of a series, but the story is pretty much stands alone, so you can read it without reading the series. Courtney Milan is a new-to-me author and I can't believe it take me so long to try out her work. Her style of wri...

A beautiful novella. I have no complaints. Of all the books in the Turner series, this one won and warmed my heart. :DEven Diana changed by the end! I guess everyone has it in him/her, the will and way to change for good. Courtney Milan has made me have hope again...Brilliantly fleshed out character...

hmm. I am not as enchanted as the world seems to be with this. Initial thoughts with a longer review to follow. The GoodI liked the unique story-line where it isn't a big misunderstanding and in fact the hero was an ass.The MehThe characters were not horrid, but I don't think super fleshed out eithe...

4 solid stars!!This is my first Courtney Milan read, and I must say, she did not disappoint. Unlocked reminded me of Bully, albeit the HR version. I enjoyed Bully, so it was no surprise I enjoyed this one as well.Elaine Stockhurst had been the object of the ton's ridicule ever since she came out to ...

This novella is short and sweet. I enjoyed it. I first learned of it from my GoodReads friend, MrsJoseph’s tantalizing review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/174870684. Thank you, MrsJoseph.Lord Evan returns to London after ten years of self-imposed exile. Ten years ago, he made fun of the gir...

I really wasn't expecting an 111 page novella to make my cry, but it did. First in sympathy for Elaine, her pain and her desire to not let anyone see it. Who doesn't know what it's like to shed silent tears over being thought of as too loud, too quiet, too tall, too short, too far or too thing. I...

01/06/2013 - 3.5 Stars I like Lady Elaine's story. You could read the series and not read this short story, but you'd miss more of this author's great story-telling and these wonderful characters. So, why would you want to?++++++++++++++++++++Free on Amazon 07/06/2012.

This is a short story but i liked it very much. It revolves around a young girl that was made the social pariah on her first season out by a young man that couldn't face the fact that he liked her. Shortly after he leaves London. The story moves forward a few years when he returns more mature and th...

Rating: 3 out of 5.I think the reason why I couldn't give a better rating was because a part of me didn't forgive Evan for his cruelty 10 years back. Yes, Courtney Milan resolved the issue beautifully and in a timely manner, and if it were any other author who wrote about men hurting women (verbally...
