Wow. Good plot twists, character twists and a shining light of (possible) hope at the end of the tunnel. Can't wait for the next book. However, I wish Reichs focused more on the resolution of Tempe's love life. I'm not a huge fan of the daughter (whose name escapes me at this moment) but she was a go...

I have zero interest in things Voodoo and the like. So, when I started reading Devil Bones, I was thinking that I would give it one sitting and see where it went. Eh, not the best Bones book. I guess everyone has to do a Voodoo/Santeria themed book. I do like Brennan, though, as always.

I like books where you have a chance of figuring it out on your own, not a person thrown in there out of nowhere. With that bein...

I'm a big fan of Kathy Reichs' novels and, in fact, have read all of them. For some reason, I found this one a little "fluffy." I thought the plot points were reasonably good, including the introduction of a Rush Limbaugh-type character who (like his inspiration) conflates every minority religion ...

Reichs this time mixed a few disparate ideas dealing with fringe or non-mainstream religious beliefs into a macabre hunt for a killer that kinda ends up with a very very little bang. The red herrings are obvious and some of the false, misleading characters are just paper thin. Not her best effort but...
