Whoa! Surprise ending.
Dollycas’s ThoughtsI was so excited to start this book because the author left us with a bit of a cliffhanger last time. We start with Reverend Bob and Claire off on their honeymoon since they have found another minister to fill in. Matthew just happens to a childhood friend of Bob’s so he feels his...
A stranger, or a near stranger, has come to town. Reverend Matthew Walters spent some time in Lake Eden as a teen and is now back to fill in for the local Lutheran minister while he's on his honeymoon cruise. Something's not quite right, but before Hannah can figure out what it is Reverend Matthew's...
This was my first foray into Hannah Swensen's kooky world in Minnesota. I really liked her character and the supporting characters as well. Coming into the middle (book #14) of the series left me hanging on Hannah's tolerance for Norman's BS. I felt this was rather unlike how a woman would handl...
The mystery plot had some nice twists and turns and Delores at the local watering hole with a wig was funny. But... Hannah as a character found a new low to sink to. Correcting everyone's in her head and pushing her self esteem (internally) from it is well... pathetic and made me for the first time ...

There was a nice twist at the end of the book, but I'm kind of getting tired of the series. All she ever does is talk about food. It's getting old for me. I just need a little more substance.
I had not intended to read this book, but was given a copy as a gift. I'm actually glad I read it! It was way better than the last couple of books in this series. Had a good story, and there's been a monkey wrench thrown into the "love triangle" mix. The next one should be interesting.
