My daughter made me do it! And as usual with any dyslexic person I've met, they are full of bright, intelligent ideas! The first time she laid eyes on a Rubic's cube, at 8 years of age, she solved it within 20 seconds. Gabrielle repeated this over and over again! As most of us know, dyslexics are challenged with the written word in general. They have a disdain for the letters which move around and simply disappear on them. But she had a near photographic memory and was more logical than any adult I knew. So, of course, her idea encouraging me to write her a dictionary which spelled the words the way she spelled them only made absolute good sense! She was 13 at the time. Ten years later, in 2008, I completed her first dictionary and shipped it to her for her birthday! I had no idea no one had created a dictionary like this in the years I was fastidiously working. So I was invited to publish this unique dictionary for public use. I still, in 2016, work every single day on this phonetic database of misspelled words. There is no methodology a computer may employ to simplify this task. I have had brilliant developers attempt repeatedly, to no avail. This book is written by hand, letter by letter and I will continue adding new misspellings via emails and friendly phonetic spellers until the day I leave this plane.
