Different Women Dancing slams into action with a fatal traffic "accident" in a decayed city square slated for urban renewal. Dr. Clare Burtonall, heading for her comfortable suburban home and comfortable but elusive  husband, is the first doctor on the scene -- but not the first Samaritan. A young man known only as Bonn, seen cradling the victim's head, is abruptly dismissed by the police. To them, Bonn is a known troublemaker. He's a "goer" working for an illicit escort service, satisfying the unmet desires of countless lovelorn city women.
Clare -- shrewd yet vulnerable, balancing her medical career and marriage to a high-powered real estate developer -- uneasily remembers the dead man as a business contact of her husband, Clifford. Her curiosity is piqued, but Clifford is oddly evasive when asked about the subject, so Clare decides to do some digging on her own. To uncover the truth, however, she needs access to the city's underworld.  Reenter Bonn, who has that access -- and then some.
The chemistry builds and the sparks fly as Clare joins her medical expertise with Bonn's street savvy.
