I live and work in the once-small town of Fredericksburg, Virginia, about an hour south of Washington, D.C. When I'm not writing, I teach martial arts (tai chi and Isshinryu karate). I hold black belt rank in both styles. For fun I travel when I can, read, watch movies and enjoy my family (two great girls--now grown--one Zen master grandson, one diva princess granddaughter, my incredible husband, and two talkative cats).Next year I'll be doing all my writing in our home in a planned intentional community on 43 acres in the mountains near Asheville, North Carolina.
