Dorothy (Dotty) McMillan was born in Pasadena California in 1932. She started writing stories the minute she learned enough words, and once sold some scary ones to her grammar school mates for a nickel each. Unfortunately, the principal put a stop to that after a flood of parent complaints. Since then she has gone on to writing magazine artiles, newspaper articles, eight screenplays, of which two were purchased, but didn't get filmed. She also had two movie options on her novels, which also didn't get filmed. No matter what she writes, it's usually "scary" stuff. After some heart-breaking events in her life, she took a long vacation from writing fiction, except for some prize-winning short stories. Eventually, she used some of that long break to create two non-fiction books on working with Polymer Clay, writing under the name Dotty McMillan. Her favorite pastime which she doesn't consider work, is playing with the clay. Finally, she has ventured back into creating novels, which she says is a lot more fun than going to Disneyland. Currently she is working simultaneously on "Shangdu", a fantasy novel, and "The Gray Green Underground", a new suspense novel, plus a sequel to her current one on the Kindle, "Deadly Urges."
