Doug McFarland taught law students for 39 years, and they elected him Professor of the Year in each of those decades. After writing numerous books and articles on law, he has now added non-fiction and fiction. Most recent is his book Chief Justice: A Supreme Court Insider's Novel, which in the structure of a mystery reveals many secrets about life in the Supreme Court. It is based on his time there as Counselor to the Chief Justice. Now retired, Doug and wife Mary split time between Minnesota and Arizona.
