Douglas Kysar was born and raised in Indiana. He studied philosophy at Indiana University and law at Harvard. He is currently the Joseph M. Field '55 Professor of Law at Yale University, where he teaches and writes about environmental law, tort law, and products liability. His overriding goal as an instructor and a scholar is to make difficult concepts and methodologies accessible, particularly ones that are being uncritically accepted yet are doing harm to the world.
