A fun epic fantasy tale. Good characters and lots of action make this one a must read. Really looking forward to reading part two of this series.4.5 stars for a an excellent tale and recommended for all fantasy fans!!!

I reserve 5 stars for books that are perfect. This came damn close. Swashbuckling, adventure fantasy fun with a compelling, likeable hero, interesting magic, strongly written fight scenes, and more. Well worth your time if you're a fantasy fan. A great read. Highly recommended.
3.5 starsThis was a really fun read but there was so much going on. It felt a little overwhelming at times. There were so many side stories going on that it got a little confusing. However, everything fit together in the end. I wouldn't say it was a happy ending but it made sense.
