For a decade and a half, Douglas Trattner has worked as a full-time freelance writer, editor and author. His work has been published locally, nationally and internationally, and has appeared in Food Network magazine, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Eater, Miami Herald, Globe and Mail, and Wine & Spirits. Trattner is the co-author of Michael Symon's "Carnivore," "5 in 5," and “5 in 5 for Every Season,” the first two of which earned him the title of New York Times Best Selling Author. In addition to Symon’s cookbooks, Trattner is the author of “Moon Cleveland” (Moon Handbooks), a 350-page travel guidebook that exhaustively covers every nook and cranny of Cleveland, Ohio. His longstanding role as dining editor twice garnered him the award of “Best Critic in Ohio” from the Society of Professional Journalists. He lives in Cleveland Heights with his wife, two dogs, six chickens and 70,000 honeybees.
