Carr is apparently the master of obvious foreshadowing. Whether it's flooding, fire, bad guys with guns... you always know it's coming within the first 50 pages of a book. I wish she'd hold some of the tricks in her pocket for a little longer.
I have to say that although I really liked this third book, I couldn't help but feel like the authortried to squish a resolution for the town and its people into a handful of pages at the end of the book. Really good book with multiple plots, exciting action and heartfelt emotions. Main story was about pregnant Dr June and retired DEA agent Jim. Romance may have taken a back seat to all the action but Jim was steadfast in his love.
