Please note that I gave this book 3.5 stars. However, I rounded it up to 4 stars on Goodreads. Down the Darkest Road is not my favorite Tami Hoag book and I think the reason why is that because I read the series out of order. I hate doing that. In my defense though I bought this at the bookstore and...

64. DOWN THE DARKEST ROAD, BY TAMI HOAG (Book 3 of Oak Knoll)The last (at least for now) installment on the Oak Knoll series. It has been a good enough series of suspense books, and I will probably try the next one (if there is one), but some minor problems are starting to weigh.Synopsis: Lauren Law...

This could have been a good book but the heroine was stupid and unlikable. The sex scenes were very graphic and often sick. The bad guy was scary and the hero was smart. I did not like that the daughter's destructive behaviors were never addressed. I won't be reading any more books by Tami Hoag.

This one took a twist near the end that literally made me gasp, and that's rare in a murder mystery. Lauren Lawton's 16 year-old daughter disappeared several years ago, her husband died and she's left with no answers and a suspect who appears to taunt her at every turn. She is also left with her d...

It has been four years since Leslie Lawton vanished on her way home from a softball game. Four years and not a trace of her has been found. Her mother, Lauren, while still not giving up hope that her daughter’s disappearance will one day be solved, has packed up younger daughter, Leah, and moved to ...

A newcomer, Lauren Lawton stars in this Oak Knoll conclusion. Lauren's 16 year old daughter Leslie was taken four years previously and never seen again. The police have done all they can but haven't arrested anyone for the crime. Lauren takes the bull by the horns and follows the suspected kidnap...

Down the Darkest Road is the third book in the Oak Knoll series. I have enjoyed the series so far and this one was no exception. While you basically know who the "killer" is from the start, the journey to catching him is very exciting. Ms. Hoag throws in a few twists that had me surprised. The re...
