by Stephen King
I swear, as I closed this book for the final time, I threw my arms open like Tim Robbins at the end of Shawshank Redemption (also a King novel). Gawd, this book was a beast. But despite it's intimidating size, I really enjoyed it. Now I'm going to crash for a while and have a book hangover.
Sigh... You ready? Let's get this over with. With Dreamcatcher, Stephen King tried to recapture the magic of It while simultaneously making up for the shithouse rat that was The Tommyknockers. He attempted this feat while recovering from a horrible accident wherein he was turned into a mixture of spe...
Stephen Kings characters are real, complex and full of depth. This book adds a different twist to a typical alien parasite story.I could not put it down.
This was probably the last Stephen King book that I read and that is probably because I found this book to be very disappointing. While my year 12 English teacher would rant and rave against people who read and wrote essays on Stephen King books I don't actually think that Stephen King, as an author...
This was an ok book for me but not his best
This is the first Stephen King book I've read in too many years to even count. I stopped reading him after reading 3-4 in a row that were to horrible to believe (horribly written I mean). There is a lot of repetitiveness even among the main characters, they will be talking about something that ha...

Whew... There's a lot that I want to say about this book, and I'm not really sure where to start. I first read this book back in... oh, 2002 or 2003, maybe, and I can absolutely say that I did NOT get much out of it. Sure, it's still a thrill ride, still entertaining, but it was definitely not his b...
It's well written (nothing else would have been expected from Mr. King) and the characters are well developed. The story itself is interesting too, but it was very predictable and the group of friends was split up too quickly for my taste. It wasn't as much suspense for me as I had expected or wanted ...
Dreamcatcher is not for everyone. But It surely is amazing. I've seen the movie as well and the book is far better. For starters, the book is able to paint a better picture for the reader, then the movie did on back stories. My only problem is how hollywood changed the story half way through. So tha...
