Dreamers shows the wonder of public libraries, and the important role they can play in people’s, particularly immigrants’, lives. The illustrations are loose and flowy, giving lots of details to pour over. As a public library worker, I found the book invigorating.
The illustrations of this novel are incredible. I love the bright colors that contrast with the darker tones. The colors of the mother’s skirt, the unique items that adore the pages, and the creatures that make their appearance, all make you stop and stare at the pages just a little bit longer. In...
