Set in pre-Revolutionary War America, readers finally have the much awaited fourth book in what will probably become a six book series (The Outlander series). The talented Diana Gabaldon continues Claire and Jamie's romantic love affair, and introduces Brianna and Roger's story. Eight hundred pages, and several wonderful new characters later, we wonder why we were waiting for a conclusion. It'll be a long wait for book five, so I recommend you go back and reread Outlander, Dragonfly in Amber, and Voyager to keep yourself sane.

The love affair between the highlander Jamie and his Sassanach Claire continues. Having successfully reunited and finding themselves in America, it's time to build a life together at last, after a twenty year separation. Though Claire and Jamie love each other, their life path certainly cannot run...
“But a man is not forgotten, as long as there are two people left under the sky. One, to tell the story; the other, to hear it.” At the end of each of the previous books I thought there is no way this story can continue to have this much depth. Future books have got to start becoming repetitive, bu...
