This was a great follow on to the first and started more or less were the first finished.Madison is still dead and a dark time keeper who is trying to stop the early killing of people and the person she tries to save turns out to be so nasty she starts to question her self.Niketa was annoying and I ...
As the sequel to a book I enjoyed I was predisposed to like Early to Death. It had the same cute tone and it boosted it's likeability by having characters besides Madison that Harrison delves into. It's really short so the ending runs into you like a telephone pole you didn't see coming.
This my second attempt with this series I really liked the idea and I’m a fan of writer Harrison’s adult series but I just couldn’t get into ETDETR. Which is a shame because I really, really wanted to like this series. Reading the synopsis it pumps you and you can’t wait to read what happens. The p...
Kim Harrison returns to the young adult genre with the second entry into her Madison Avery series. Even better than the first, Early to Death, Early to Rise grows the luscious and exciting world Harrison created and builds more wonderful characters that readers love to cheer for.Madison is officiall...
I was quite reluctant to pick up the second part in the Madison Avery series after the not-so-great first part, Once Dead, Twice Shy. Luckily, we do see some improvement. In this book Madison is the dark timekeeper, and she is struggling with her new position. She does not believe in fate, but in cho...
I liked this one better than the first one. Now that I know the characters it was easier to get interested in the story. It didn't require massive visualization of lines connecting to things from an amulet and all of that stuff that can get confusing if you're not a visual person. The theme was bett...
This is the second installment to the Madion Avery series. The first book had me hooked but this one, I am not to sure. The book picks off right were it left off. Madison has chosen choice. In which she believes everyone has a choice and you can choose your future, not in fate. Madison is once again...
Don't fear the Reaper? Madison Avery may be dead but that doesn't stop her from trying to do the right thing. Accompanied by her angel and reaper friends, Madison tries to change a system she doesn't believe in while struggling to learn her new timekeeper powers and stay out of detention. As an in...
A mostly strong second book. Trying to get a light and dark reaper to work together seems like a too literal angel and devil on Madison's shoulders.I was initially skeptical that Madison was the first Timekeeper who would try and change the destiny of someone who was fated to do bad things, but whe...
Kim Harrison, is such a great world builder, why isn't she using her skills with this series ? The story is interesting (although too short) as are the characters but she just keep it so light, I want more depth more story. It is better than the first novel, but I still think she is trying to reach ...
