At one with the darkness, the mysterious Shadowdwellers must live as far from light-loving humans as possible in order to survive. Yet one damaged human woman will tempt the man behind the Shadowdweller throne into a dangerous desire. . .Worlds Couldn't Keep Them ApartAmong the Shadowdwellers, Trace holds power that some are willing to kill for. Without a stranger's aid, one rival would surely have succeeded, but Trace's brush with death is less surprising to him than his reaction to the beautiful, fragile human who heals him. By rights, Trace should hardly even register Ashla's existence within the realm of Shadowscape, but instead he is drawn to everything about her—her innocence, her courage, and her lush, sensual heat. . .After a terrifying car crash, Ashla Townsend wakes up to find that the bustling New York she knew is now eerie and desolate. Just when she's convinced she's alone, Ashla is confronted by a dark warrior who draws her deeper into a world she never knew existed. The bond between Ashla and Trace is a mystery to both, but searching for answers will mean confronting long-hidden secrets, and uncovering a threat that could destroy everything Trace holds precious. . .Jacquelyn Frank is currently living in North Carolina, and has been writing romantic fiction ever since she picked up her first teen romance at age 13. With four sisters and other family scattered up and down the Eastern Seaboard, and a history of living all across the USA herself, she still always finds ways to give a nod to her native New York in her work. A former Sign Language Interpreter and substitute teacher, she is a powerful advocate of reading and writing. She isknown for her persistent gifts of books to her nieces and nephews, as well as all the other children in her life, in an effort to see them love both as much as she does. She believes there is nothing more rewarding than the imagination and all it inspires, and nothing more tragic than

3.0 Complex new society, tough read
Opening Line:"Ashla stood shivering in the darkened streets of Times Square. Jaquelyn Frank has created a dense and complicated new society in ECSTASY. I tried very hard to like this new world but it was a tough read and fans should be warned that this is not a continuation of the Nightwalker s...

4.0 Ecstasy: The Shadowdwellers
I hesitated with this series, I really did. This is an offshoot of Frank's Nightwalkers series and it focuses on the Shadowdwellers. Now, having finished the Nightwalkers with a bit of a WTF on the hanging story lines, I was nervous. But I jumped in anyway. What mixed feelings I have about that!Trac...

I'm changing my rating system and suppose that one star matches this book the best.0 means it's been a stupid, stupid, stupid read, made me feel horrible and was generally crap.1 means.. well, in this case it means that although the world's been interesting and the book had potential, the execution ...

My main problem with Ecstasy was that it reminded me too much of Jacob and Gideon.I found the heroine Ashla to be great in the first half of the storyline and then rather annoying in the se...

This book was pretty good, painful sex notwithstanding. Different enough from others books I've read, which made it an interesting read. Really enjoyed the hero and heroine interactions and their personalities. Hope in the other books in the series we find out what happens with them.
