I am the Director of a progressive preschool in the East Village New York. I have developed a philosophy of emotional education, meaning that children are made to feel safe in expressing the full range of their feelings from loneliness to anger, and are greeted with acceptance. Our philosophy is what I call ART - Acceptance, Reflection and Teaching. I am a parent of two girls and I bring my experience as a parent and teacher to my writing. I understand how hard it is to be a parent but I also know how hard it is to be a child. Children want to be heard and treated with respect and when they are they give back a hundred times over.
