Elissa Wilds is an award-winning author of....blah, blah, blah...Okay, I just can't write about myself in third person. It's too darn serious, and I recommend avoiding taking yourself too seriously. I'll begin again.I write paranormal romantic fiction and metaphysical/new age non-fiction. I enjoy investigating all things paranormal and incorporating what I learn into my stories. I hold Bachelor degrees in Communication and English/Creative Writing and a Master's degree in Communication. Like many writers, I have a full life that includes a career in the corporate world. Luckily, I've been blessed with a knack for multi-tasking, a lot of energy, and strong organizational skills. I have successfully managed both my creative and my corporate lives for twenty years (and continuing). I'm often asked what I like most about writing. There are too many to list, but here's one of the top 5: I can write my stories sitting in my pajamas in the middle of the night or at a coffee shop on Sunday afternoon while sipping chai tea latte. In addition to writing, I enjoy singing, reading, learning to play guitar, meditating, spending time with my family, and playing in nature as much and as often as possible. The details:Favorites: Cold Stone ice cream (cake batter with graham cracker crust sprinkled in -Yum!), Mom's mac and cheese, my friend Krissy's homemade baklava, Indian cuisine, chai tea.Favorite music: (very eclectic!) Nickelback, Evanescence, Laura Powers, Emmylou Harris, KT Tunstall, Fiona Horne, Iris Dement, Kate Bush, Christopher Jak, Gavin Degraw, The Decemberists, Enigma, and many, many more, (Yes, I even still adore some 80's rock - Def Leppard, Journey)Favorite movies: can't pick a favorite but I really enjoy anything with a supernatural or romantic theme (better if it has both!)Television shows: I rarely watch television (I prefer books!), but when I do, I enjoy Supernatural, Spartacus, Ghost Hunters, American Horror Story, Game of Thrones, Vampire Diaries, and True Blood. Some of my favorite things: Hawaii, poetry, deep thinkers, bonfires, live music, kitties, bunnies, amber oil, nag champa incense.

I'll be honest, I only requested this because of C.L. Wilson. I loved her Tarien Soul series and she hasn't released another book since the finale of that series in 2010. I feel like I've been eagerly anticipating her next book forever! Then I saw this, not only a new original short story, but a sne...

A lovely little holiday read, that would work in any season. The three stories all held my attention and gave me a little flutter of the heart. I read this for C.L. Wilson's story, she is one of my top ten favorite authors. Yes, her story was as excellent as expected. Surprise, I found two new autho...

Well this is disappointing. After reading the first one where it had authors I knew and enjoyed, this one was a dud. Even the Karen Chance one didn't do it for me and I like her stories. The only one I liked was Gail's with the merpeople and Alex the gay alpha wolf. I'd like to read more about t...
