I am just going to get right to it, I always wanted to write something but I didn't know where to begin, what to include and what to leave out. Growing up as a child, I developed a love for books, and I remember wondering that went through the minds of the writers as they wrote these beautiful gripping stories. I would pick up books that drew me into the worlds of the characters and I usually found it difficult to stop reading until I got to the last page.I then set out to write short stories that I would read out to my family and they loved it, both my father and mother encouraged me to write but not really as a career. They saw it has a hobby; they wanted me to be a doctor. But my thing is love, I love love so much that I enjoy creating situations where I bring two characters from different worlds together and make them totally dependent on each other. While I started to write these stories, I found my imagination began to develop. I was imagining more than I could write down, which at the time, felt like a problem, because as a child I hadn't learnt to jot down the main plot which for me is the frame of my work and it made writing frustrating for me. I struggled then, but as time went on and I developed my love for books and writing, I learnt to put down the skeleton of my work as it involves my main characters, then I return later as the characters develop, and then I add the meat to the bone depending on what the characters I am writing about want. What then was one of my biggest problems then turned into my strength. Like most people, those that have a passion for something but end up doing something else because they don't think their passion can provide for them, I abandoned writing and went to study Microbiology. I know, my parents wanted me to be a Doctor but I wasn't happy doing what I was doing anyway. I knew I should be doing something more creative, I graduated and started working and then I met my Husband got married and we began to have our children. I love being a mother, so my husband and I made a decision that I should stay home while he worked. This time spent at home created a gap for something but I didn't know what. The children were growing, and it was time I returned to work but I wasn't looking forward to it at all. I was contemplating retraining myself to do something entirely different, I was at a crossroad and I prayed to God to help direct me.Then I had a dream and I saw myself on a queue, and each person that was on the queue at one point met with an Angel that told them something about their life and when it was my turn, I was told to write a book, and I asked what I should write about and the Angel told me what to write about. I remember waking up and telling my husband, I am not going back to work, I am going to write. He asked me what I wanted to write about, I could still remember vividly just like I do today what I was told to write about and I started writing about it immediately. I wasn't surprised it had to do with Love because as I said earlier, I love to write about Love. I wrote my first book Crossing Boundaries within six months, which is not yet published because at you know it is one thing to write, it's another to get the book published. With crossing boundaries written, my husband asked what I was going to do next; I said I was going to write a book about Vampires. Then I tried writing the book, but nothing came, instead of worrying about being blocked, I proceeded to finding a tittle for the book , and I began to research the name for my main character and then I came across the name Sebastian and that was it, it was like magic. As soon as I wrote the name down, the character came alive and he began to tell his story and I just wrote it down and within another six months the main plots was written and I just had to read through and add the meat to the bone until the story was fully formed.
