Elizabeth Kendal is a dedicated religious liberty analyst and advocate. Her ministry gained international recognition in mid 1999, when she commenced writing weekly Religious Liberty Prayer bulletins for the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) Religious Liberty Commission (RLC). She held the postition of WEA RLC Principal Researcher and Writer from 2002 until April 2009 when she resigned from WEA to continue her ministry independently. Through her two blogs, Elizabeth works to raise awareness of the plight of the persecuted and of global trends in religious freedom. Through her book and a website of the same name, she seeks to offer Christians Biblical resources that will help them understand, prepare for, endure through and respond to persecution. Elizabeth is an Adjunct Research Fellow in the Centre for the Study of Islam and Other Faiths at the Melbourne School of Theology. Elizabeth lives with her white Labrador, Joey, and has a cottage in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges, east of Melbourne. She loves to rise before dawn to study the scriptures and pray in the quietness and as the sun rises. She has four adult children aged 21 to 26 years. Her passions include family, garden, birds, history, theology and music (for which she has an A.Mus.A (flute) and a B.Ed (Mus)).
